Lockheed Martin awarded multi-object kill vehicle technology risk reduction contract

The US Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co.

The contract is intended for the multi-object kill vehicle technology risk reduction (TRR) effort.

This 36-month period contract represents part of the US MDA’s technology risk reduction strategy to improve performance and reduce risk for a gimbaled seeker assembly, integrated avionics assembly, component integration and testing, and an advanced seeker.

The contract worth US$53.05 million has been awarded in March 2017.

Work will be carried out at Sunnyvale, California; Bethesda, Maryland; and Goleta, California.
