US Air Force contracts Cyber Defense for enterprise-level network management

Cyber Defense Information Assurance has been awarded a modification contract by the US Tinker Air Force Base (Tinker AFB), under a previously awarded contract.

As per the contract, Cyber Defense will provide Air Force enterprise-level network management, optimized communications and defensive measures at the Air Force information network gateways.

Air Force Intranet Control (AFIC) operates the common user virtual private network mesh tying the components of the Air Forces intranet together and protecting Air Force network traffic through encryption as it traverses public infrastructure.

Work will be performed at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base, Alabama, and is expected to be completed in July 2018.

The contract worth US$14.79 million has been awarded in March 2017.
