General Atomics to conduct MQ-25 unmanned carrier aviation air system risk reduction activities

yourfileGeneral Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., has been awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee modification contract by the US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), under a previously awarded contract. 


The contract is intended to conduct additional risk reduction activities in support of the MQ-25 unmanned carrier aviation air system, which includes refinement of concepts and development of trade space for requirements generation in advance of the engineering and manufacturing development phase of the program.

The contract worth US$18.73 million has been awarded in April 2017.

Work will be performed in Poway, California; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Rancho Bernardo, California, and is expected to be completed in September 2018.
